Beau Starcevic: right!!
Cedric Grimstead: School IS important....for people who need it. I feel that people think it's important to know all things in life. Because from that we gain all sorts of experiences and knowledge, and from that we are able to "accomplish" anything. I think that adults want teens and kids to go to school, because school is where we learn new things, and gain more oppurtunites in gaining a job/career b/c we would have had the knowlege needed. To be able to do things, we need experience and knowledge.Besides, if we all didn't go to school, we'd all be stupid. But I find highschool to totally pointless, because there are other ways around getting a career from graduating. You can create your own business or home based business. I get lectures and speeches everyday of the importance of an education from my mom, stepfather, brother and random strangers who say "School is important..." blah, blah, blah, (which I find is crap), b/c we all don't ! need an education.I find myself to be intelligent although my highest education completed is grade 8. Next year I should be starting College, but that will never happen. Everything I have learned in life, I have taught myself, and that is what I will continue to do. School, has never been for me, and some people just don't see that. I have my own plans and will start my own business. I think to really succeed in life, it's not about having knowledge of all things. I think it's really about thinking differently. That's how people today are so successful. They think differently and are able to create unique ideas. From that they start their own business and become wealthy. So overall, school, is really not that important.-...Show more
Virgilio Echter: You are one of few. Maybe you were smart enough to bypass the high school education but 99% of people are not. Please don't give false impressions. It O.K. to brag on yourself.
Toney Flaten: i've got confidenc! e that Catholic faculties are wonderful, because of the fact m! aximum will supply a good coaching of different religions and practices, as nicely as coaching the scholar the thank you to stay a good Catholic existence. If the scholar then comes to a decision that he's an atheist, or that his ideals lie outdoors of the Catholic faith, then a minimum of he's given the possibility to make an counseled determination, and that i admire that he has seen his ideas and made his very own determination. no longer something annoys me extra advantageous than ignorant human beings - atheist or in any different case - who haven't any substance to the alternative they have made....Show more
Ollie Desalvo: I think many adults play into the "numbers game", meaning they sometimes totally focus on trends and ignore the individual. The same adults can often continue to sneer at GED people, even if they've made themselves successful. The other thing is that some adults figure they won't have enough money to send the teen to college and also want to! avoid debt, so they emphasize high school as the last shot before adulthood. Some teens should finish high school, and others don't necessarily need to. But getting a GED or finishing high school is important. Either one's okay in my book....Show more
Guy Bonamico: The education system generally lacks behind the real world. It is not clear cut whether it does have a very strong correlation to university, let alone the real life. But to state generically that "Nothing covered in high school classes is essential to university work" is probably wrong either.BTW, speaking of correlation, my personal opinion is that univ grads are not ready for 'real life'. A bit too naive. My apology in advance to the fresh grads.I guess that's why life is the longest and hardest 'school'. Lots of fundamental questions, but no real answer :-)...Show more

Hermina Ketring: I made it> Wi! thout a high school diploma, and went to a local community collegeI thi! nk all the history and geography; I was surprised any one would want to talk about any of this out of high school, but there has been times when a person in a group of people will use reference to. Its nice to know what they're talking about. If anything, you can apply to understanding different types of people we come across.Language arts; so we can build vocabulary and express our self accurately. And can carry a conversation with a polysyllabic menaceScience;so we know what not to put in the microwave. lolMath; if you ever have to go into a hardware store you know how to read measurements of different increments....Show more
Porfirio Cahall: in my country, all university and colleges are not allowed to accept students who are not high school graduates..so high school is a part of our curriculum..automatically we would not be able to find a good job if we didnt graduate in high school and college..high school for us, is just a step to prepare ourselves to college..! coz being a grade school graduate would not help us to realize what we really want to be......Show more
