Corrina Faro: No, not really. I'm in college and I'm also studying abroad. I believe formal tertiary education and traveling complement each other well. However, travel cannot substitute everything you can learn academically.
Rubi Romo: Hell yeah. What better way to learn about the world than to experience it first hand. Of course if your looking to learn a specific skill like accounting, or hard science like chemistry, you need classroom instruction. But stuff like the liberal arts, business, skilled trades and foriegn languages can be just as easily learned through real life experience as well as in the classroom.
