Do American engineers use their knowledge of the humanities?

answers1: Noah's Ark was built by human amateurs and it floated, <br>
while the Titanic was built by engineers and it sank.
answers2: I was an Engineer for years. My work was black and white,
however my life was full of the humanities. Work is only a small part
of life.
answers3: Humanities are the histories of civilization, its optimum
artwork and its inner maximum depths. Sir Issac Newton suggested; "If
I actual have considered farther than others, that's because of the
fact I actual have stood on the shoulders of giants." a newborn raised
in a vacuum could have no genuine experience of self because of the
fact various what we are is desperate by using our relationships with
others, 'people who do no longer learn from the previous are doomed to
repeat it.' Our lifestyle gets its experience of self from many
places, yet as quickly as we exorcise previous cultures from our
bypass of existence we develop into flat stale and one dimensional.
people who carry our civilization might desire to have supplies for
techniques and techniques are techniques. we are no longer robots to
software yet are gaining knowledge of and experiencing beings whose
journey is often made richer by using information our own, different
and former cultures. maximum of of the greats of history have had that
extensive preparation. If one teaches for function on my own the
lifestyle starts off to die

Why is it important to study Humanities?

answers1: it kinda trained me to look things at another point of view.
answers2: The Sciences will show you many tools and ways to use those
tools. The Humanities show you only one tool, the human mind. It is
about the human experience, how to think and how to use your own mind
to the betterment of not only yourself but society in general.
answers3: To understand yourself better, and to understand others.

Museum studies or art administration?

answers1: In Museum studies, you are focusing on the management of
museums, this is for curators. For art administration, that is
focusing on the cataloging of art works into different categories,
this is important for sellers of art.

What's art to you?

answers1: I personally find art as an extension of reality, theory,
and our own perspectives, everything. Within this context, art is any
and everything that we can envision, study, diagnose; it is quite
literally everything, however, that "everything" is based on our own
opinions and preferences.
answers2: .
answers3: I thought about this for years and never came up with a
better answer than "Art is." Limit your definition and you leave
things out and if you make it too broad then obviously everything man
made can be included.

understand art which is precious and priceless .

What is the difference between Renaissance art and Medieval art?

answers1: This Site Might Help You. <br>
<br>
RE: <br>
What is the difference between Renaissance art and Medieval art? <br>
Main differences between Renaissance art and Medieval art
answers2: Renaissance art tends to be more humanistic, less emphasis
on religious themes and more on everyday life. Renaissance art is
distinctive in that it incorporates perspective. Therefore it is much
more realistic.
answers3: Medieval art was more around the time of feudalism and more
based on comedy and music for kings and nobles. Renaissance art has
dramatic plays and actors/actresses were more popular in this time
period.
answers4: Medieval Art Vs Renaissance Art
answers5: Medieval art: Mostly religious; very focused on creating
symbols of Christian concepts/values; not concerned with realism.
Served a purpose: "Before a worshipper has even entered the church, he
would find images of saints and sinners, of angelic beings and the
punishment of the damned. All stood as a reminder of the importance of
holding one's thoughts to God." Statues were shallow and flat. Bodies
might be out of proportion. <br>
Renaissance art: Very focused on realism--on portraying things as they
look. Used linear perspective in painting. Not as focused on religion.
Often used to show the beauty in nature (including human beings).
Often depicted everyday life. Used light and shadow.
answers6: For the best answers, search on this site <a
href="https://shorturl.im/awUz1"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>https://shorturl.im/awUz1</a> <br>
<br>
Medieval art was mainly religious art for the church. The art in the
medieval times was also for the most part 2D looking. In renaissance
people started to paint aspects of everyday life. People experimented
with shading and perspective so art became more 3 dimensional in
apearance.
answers7: Yaaah, they added some paint by the later period and changed
or learnt a bit about perspectives. Made it blossom.
answers8: The idea that Renaissance are was more humanistic and less
religious is true, though not to the extreme that some would imply.
Look at the most famous works by Michelangelo, da Vinci, et al. The
Pieta, the Sistine Chapel Ceiling, the Last Judgement, The Last
Supper, all of the various Madonna's and Child, The Moses, the various
David's, even the mythologically themed paintings by Boccaccio and
others...there was a LOT of religious painting and sculpting going on.
There was, however much that was not, for example, the Mona Lisa and
various other portraitures, Holbein's The Ambassadors, and Eyck's
Arnolfini Marriage. Still, the Renaissance was not overwhelmingly
humanistic, at least not in the more modern sense of the term. And
there was certainly some medieval art that was 'humanistic,' from the
Bayeax Tapestry to various works depicting the daily life in towns and
life of the serfs working the land.
answers9: Pre Renaissance Art

are good at more than 1 thing <br>
plus if you want to swich majors you can ! you will also have a
better chance of people liking your work cause there is more to choose
from
answers3: If you're applying to the NY Institute for Film, they only
want film related things in your portfolio. Likewise, the School of
Visual Arts will likely be interested in some of your other stuff.
Keep your portfolio specific to the program you're applying to, but
don't be afraid to list your other accomplishments and interests in
other kinds of arts on your app or in your resume and note that
samples are available if they'd like to see them.
answers4: i would use all that u got thats good because they look for

What is the difference between Commercial/Advertising Art Major and Design&Visual Communication Major?

answers1: These are the biggest differences between Judaism and
Xianity: Jews believe that one person cannot die for the sins of
another person. Jews believe that we do not need a blood sacrifice for
the forgiveness of sins. Jews believe that Jesus was not the messiah.
Jews believe that God hates human sacrifices. Who died on the cross?
Was it Jesus-the-god, or was it Jesus-the-human? If it was
Jesus-the-god, Jews don't believe that God can die. If it was
Jesus-the-human, then all Christians have in the death of Jesus was a
human death, a human sacrifice. Jews believe that God hates the very
idea of human sacrifice. Jews believe that one is born into the world
with original purity, and not with original sin. Jews do not believe
in original sin. Jews believe that God is one and indivisible. Jews do
not believe in a trinity. Jews believe in The Satan, but not in a
devil. There is a difference between The Satan and the devil. Jews
believe that God is God, and humans are humans. God does not become
human nor do humans become God.
answers2: Well, the majors aren't called that at colleges. that's just
collegeboard. the degrees are BA fine art, BFA fine art, art history,
graphic design, interior design, illustration design, museum studies,
art director, and art managment. those are in the art department.
<br>
<br>
In the business department, there's visual communications. it usually
breaks down into design based marketing, web design, etc. You take a
couple arts courses, but the majority is business and computer science
classes. <br>
<br>
if you want to be and art director, you need to to art history with a
minor in business or art criticism or some colleges have arts
management majors which teach you specifically about art and how to
market it/represent an artist. it merges art/art history/marketing/and
business. <br>
<br>
If you are more interested in web design, journalism, marketing, or
just the business/tech side of the job then you can do visual
communications. BUT it has LITTLE to do with art

I'm a 15 year-old who's interested in visual art. I'm looking for places to show my art + enter it in contests?

answers1: I use this website for art contests <a
href="http://www.art-made-easy.com/art-contests-for-kids.html"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://www.art-made-easy.com/art-contest...</a>
<br>
<br>
It has really easy art contests and a couple of more prestigious
difficult ones. Art never needs to be delivered in person or at least
I've never had to do it for an art contest I've entered. My city and
the cities near me all have open galleries that artists are able to
enter for. I'm sure there's one in your city. <br>
<br>
Good luck and have fun :D
answers2: properly all of those coach u self defence different than
mma and kickboxing that are activities. So it relies upon what ur
searching for. The self defence martial arts concentration on greater
table sure tecniques while in mma and kickboxing, it demands
particularly some stream as that's a interest. yet a number of the
martial arts i do no longer think of u ought to take are brazilian
jujistu (u could besides do mma if ur gona do bjj), judo (greater of
wrestling which demands potential), kung fu (properly it relies upon
which form of kung fu, and its way too complicated, and bear in mind,
all martial arts u listed above and each and each of those u see right
this moment, got here from considered one of those kung fu), taekwondo
(especially using ur legs, so u could besides take kickboxing or mma),
and real looking highway defence (i'm uncertain what this could coach
u yet for advantageous wen u do easily run right into a concern of
conserving urself on the line, the two you will forget approximately
to apply the tecniques cuz ur hesitating or u does no longer kno which
one to apply or are sluggish to react). So if ur looking into mma or
kickboxing, evaluate this; mma is greater durable to benefit yet much
less complicated to do; its incredibly plenty rock paper scissor as an
occasion ur oppenent makes use of a muay thai pass on u.s. u could use
a tae kwon do pass to overcome him. And u do no longer save attempting
to strike him/her, so u get some relax inbetween. And triumphing could
properly be from submission, so u does no longer hav to attend until u
knock out ur oppenent. Kickboxing on the different hand is plenty
greater violent while in comparison with mma. you could benefit yet
particularly no longer undemanding to do, as there is no longer as
plenty type as in mma so u and ur opponent are doing the best same
ingredient the entire time to a minimum of one yet another, so there
is not any undemanding way like in mma, and u can basically win by
utilising knockout of technical knockout. It demands incredibly
extreme cardio as u hav to maintain tryna strike ur opponent down at
the same time as ur opponent is fabulous u until now the time runs
out. that's somewhat speedy paced, so watch an mma combat then watch a
kickboxing combat, and you will see the version. I hav laid down the
enjoying cards and now u can choose for what suits u and ur life-type.
wish this permits

Can you 'teach' visual art?

answers1: I believe it is possible to teach humans to develop an eye
for correct principles of design and composition, as well as the
technical aspects you mentioned such as color blending and use of
tools. And most art teachers (good ones, anyway) teaching drawing will
train students to draw what they see and maximize their facility
within the limits of the students' unique physical constraints. So to
put it another way, no I do not believe teachers really can teach
others to "draw in the teacher's style" unless the students are so
empty that all they can do is mimic anyway. Which means they're not
meant to be artists anyway.
answers2: As an art instructor for almost 30 yrs., I have to say YES,
a "good" instructor can teach Visual Art...but not to teach in their
personal style. From past history, the Masters did teach art by
having their students "copy" their art, only to show them how to do
techniques. It is so important to look at Art History to see from
where we've come from ages ago & learn about so many techniques of the
past Masters. You then have a better understanding of the "how to" do
the physical aspects of art. Students should have some talent to begin
their training. One can take the negative, like bad teachers, media
you don't like, techniques that don't help you grow as an artist and
call those things a "learning experience" and keep seeking the
positive for yourself & your art. Instruction in art is good, keep on
with practicing...that is key & your love of art & improvement. I
learned so much from all my former art school professors, even the not
so good ones. 'Hope that gives you some positive input.

Why do college graduates act so arrogant ?

answers1: Same reason everyone else acts in an arrogant way.
answers2: Maybe because the fact that they have a degree from Harvard
or Yale makes them smarter and better than everyone else because it
has been put into their head that they're one of the best schools in
the united states.
answers3: Not me. I have a bachelors degree and I earned that way back
in 2001. I have yet to put it to use in a profession where I'm able
to make any money. Currently, I work in a hospital in a completely
unrelated profession making a mere 30k a year at 40 years old. <br>
<br>
Those guys who act like they are all badasses because they've
graduated? They can smack talk all they want. But many of them will
wind up in my boat with a wasted degree and not able to utilize it for
any good money.
answers4: Even if someone does have a doctorate from Harvard, humility
is way preferable to arrogance.
answers5: LMAOOOO because they have been brainwashed by the school
they went to to believe they are sooooooo exceptional and scholarly
and that they are above the rest of the population and the schools do
this in order to sell their snake oil hundred thousand dollar degrees
answers6: Not arrogant, clueless, there is little difference. They
are qualified to live at home and flip burgers so you must respect
them.
answers7: People with an education, no matter what level, have at
least some arrogance to them. <br>
It's annoying though, because they think they're way of thinking is
completely right.

what was the Causes and effects What was each act?

answers1: Sugar Act (1764)- First Revenue raising act for Britain. It
was supposed to place a high tax on sugar from the West Indies;
however, the colonies rebelled forcing the crown to back down. <br>
<br>
Stamp Act (1765)- A way of raising revenue for the military
expenditure after the French and Indian War. It required a stamp on
about 50 items. Britain believed it was a perfectly reasonable act.
The colonists saw no need for it, and they felt it jeopardized their
rights as Englishmen. It sparked the ideology of "No taxation without
representation". <br>
<br>
Townshend Acts (1767)- It required the suspension of New York until
they accepted the Quartering Act. They also created duties on colonial
imports, which lead to colonial resistance. <br>
<br>
Tea Act (1773)- It is a tax break on tea. Colonists were not buying
tea due to the Revenue Act, and the East India Company needed money.
The colonists did not see it as a tax break, and it did not go over
well, led to Boston Tea Party. <br>
<br>
Intolerable/Coercive Acts (April 1774) Britain's response to the
Boston Tea Party. The acts closed the Boston port, until the tea was
paid for from the Tea Party. New Quartering Act issued, and forbid
town meetings without governmental consent. <br>
<br>
<br>
I hope this helps.
answers2: OMG this is so familiar from Grade 7 last year!! Pretty much
the cause of each act was to gain more taxes. Sugar act placed taxes
on stuff like sugar and molasses. Stamp act raised taxes on stamps,
which made it more costly to get a newpaper or send a letter.
Townshend act I cannot remember. Tea act put taxes on...what else but
tea! and Intolerable Acts, I kind of forget what that was for. Pretty
much ti was all taxation without representation. I guess you could say
the cause of these Acts being created was to gain more taxes, and the
effect was that the colonists became rebellious, and that's where The
American Revolution came into play, and the Boston Tea Party incident.
Hope this helps!

But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for.
To quote from Whitman, "O me! O life!... of the questions of these

he felt. A poet not only gives meaning to these events but makes you
experience them and therefore give you a chance to gain meaning from
it. Poetry is love, life, anger, strife and everything through and

answers2: hey, poetry is usually the poets feeling put into words in a
creative way,im 15 and i write poetry and i started about a year
because i really liked a girl (i'd liked girls before but it felt
different with her) and i started writing them when she rejected me to
get my feelings out for example instead of saying <br>

answers3: Well there isn't a certain book out there that marks the
edge of a scale of what is and what isn't poetry. There is a lot of
shades of gray. On a scale, I would say that on one end you have the
written word purely for communication sake. Far from poetry, the only
purpose is to convey information to someone else. As you go towards
the other side of the scale (more towards poetry), you my come across
fiction and essays written with poetic flair. Although not poetry,
they have poetic elements. Namely that the words chosen are selected
not just to convey information, but to elicit specific intended
emotions from the reader. Go further towards more pure poetry and it
becomes less and less about the information of what is being
communicated, and the emotional content delivered by how the words and
sentence form is crafted (what is in-between the words on the page).
The reason there are so many forms of poetry is because there are so
many different ways to elicit emotion through word craft. Sometimes
the structure you are talking about exists because poetry was often in
song form originally (because it predated written word/literacy). It
gained the form from musical stanzas. People continued to use a form
similar so that people would understand that it is poetry, and because
they appreciated tradition. More recently, some people have used no
standard structure to help create the emotional affect they want. It
is a way to ensure that the reader reads it in a certain way to
control the emotional message.

you feelings or observation on something. you write about anything
that you need to let out about either love or fighting, or the grass

Help w/ Philosophy, PreSocratic philosophy?

answers1: The main problem that preoccupied Pre-Socratic philosophy
was to create Foundational Truth -- a state in which all questions
were valid and a person only had to find the right answer. Socratic
philosophy showed that one must not only question the answer but
question the question itself because, by implication, Socrates denied
the existence (and even the possibility of existence) of Foundational
Truth. Plato responded by positing the World of Ideas and by
presenting the Simile of the Cave,

What are the best philosophy books ?

answers1: Look for the history of Philosophy because it touches on
major philosophers such as Augustine and kant as well and theory. I
cant dig my copy out now because it would take all night but being a
novice you would learn a lot from a book that touches on those aspects
than you can focus on specific theory. Also if you take a course such
as intro to philosophy you can learn how to prove or disprove
arguments. There is a language to it based on abbreviations and
symbols but it is very interesting how you can prove something
tautological or not.
answers2: There are thousands of philisophy books. All are novice and
provide theories etc. Read them all studied them all. Only one book
answered everything for me. Sadly its not novice and can only be
grasped by someone with a little understanding of life generally. Read
this however with that in mind and it will answer all your questions
totally if you have an open mind. Its called SATI. It is life
changing.
