Online Gambling For Points Legal?

Giovanna Cramblit: What makes gambling legal or illegal is whether or not the establishment thats allowing the gambling has a license to do so or not. without the license its deemed "illegal" and when you do have your license it is deemed "legal". the reason you need a license is because establishments that holds gambling have to uner go audits quite frequently and are usually taxed very heavily. Its kinda like how you cant be a doctor unless you have a PHD. Does that make sense? lol....Show more

Gene Debell: Think of these 2 scenarios, and see if you find any difference:Scenario #1: (Your scenario.) I buy 10,000 points from your website. Perhaps it costs me $100 for those points. I play your games. I win, I lose, I win. I end up with 15,000 in points. One of my options is to take the Cash, so I end up with a total of $150.Scenario #2: I buy $100 worth of casino chips at a live casino. It costs me $100. I play the casino's games. I win, I lose, I win. I ! end up with $150 worth of casino chips. I go to the cashier's cage and cash out my chips for $150.Do you really see any difference in those 2 scenarios? I hope not. It's exactly the same thing, except one place is calling it "points" and the other place is using chips.Of course this isn't legal, unless you have a gambling license. By the way, it's not going to make a difference if you get rid of the "cash" option. You won't be able to get away with this....Show more

Enriqueta Steffen: Depends on what state you are in. It's still gambling for money. You buy points, gamble the points, then turn the points in for money. N o different then purcahsing chips in Vegas. The points have monetary avlue, and thus you are gambling for money.Such a site would nto be legal to be based in the US. Yes, you would need to be 18+ to avoid massive liability issues....Show more
