Dental School requirement?

Lyndon Mattas: Yes. You do not need a specific major to get into dental school although one in the biological sciences will make it easier for you when in dental school. As long as you have a bachelor's degree and good grades you have about as much chance of getting in as anyone else.

Robin Marchione: You need to take a DAT. I would think that most dental schools would require basic science classes like biology, organic chemistry, and physics. You certainly could try emailing or asking someone at a dental school to know for sure. You could always consider going back to school to take the required classes.

Stormy Beliard: Would a masters program in IT waive simple computer classes and allow you to start the masters program without knowing a thing?Dental schools typically don't care so much about your specific degree. They care very much about the science courses you've taken and your performance in them. They also take into account DAT scores, letters of recom! endation, extra-curiculars, and the interview. There are certian requirements as far as classes you need... these are generally not negotiable. Would you want a dentist operating on you who hasn't even taken simple college bio?...Show more

Truman Biby: maximum dental colleges will require you to take here: DAT (Dental Admissions try) a million 12 months of calculus a million 12 months of biology with lab a million 12 months of chemistry with lab a million 12 months of organic and organic chemistry with lab a million 12 months of calculus a million 12 months of English and specific ones contained in america want which you're fluent in a secondary language or have taken a million 12 months of a foreign places language (ideally Spanish) -- yet that's not required. standards variety from college to college yet they're all generally the comparable. favourite minimum credit/contraptions is a hundred and twenty yet some will take ninety. Bachelor's degree is favourite yet! i might in all threat say that the prospect of a non-Bachelor! 's degree candidate is slender to none....Show more
