More seriously, I think Scott Westerfeld's Uglies series is genuinely
great. That'll be the YA series remembered from this decade, not
Twilight. <br>

For slightly older books, I love Barbara Hambly's fantasy novels, and
yet she's one of the few authors out there who has zero fanfic written
for her work.

answers4: John Green and Marcus Zusack are fantastic young adult
authors. They just don't get the credit for their novels like some
others do. <br>
I think it's unfortunate that authors like Stephenie Meyer get so much
money for their books when their are more than enough authors that
deserve the money but do not receive it. It's sad. <br>
