you want to get into the business of film making (which I tried), and
since you are only a freshman, set your site on UCLA film school
(Lucas, Spielberg, etc) or New York Film School (Spike Lee,). <br>
Performing Arts are normally for people who are going to be
musicians and dancers. If you want to write, you take classes on
writing and a lot of schools offer scriptwriting classes by the way.

A film producer is a money man and oversees production and make sure
that the director stays relative in budget or close to it. If you
want to be a director, I suggest study the art of cinematography. And
look online for things that are being filmed in your area and see if
you can get a crew job.
