Jasper Mangel: No! Depending on the studio jazz in completely different. I have been learning jazz for the last 13 years and I didn't learn to swing dance at all! I learned it in another class outside of my dance studio, but it all depends on the place. I would call and ask what there class offers? (: Hope this helped! Good Luck!
Donald Caravalho: No they are completely different. But taking any type of dance helps with any other kind of dance, so there's no harm in taking jazz. YOu'll gain the balance and control of your body that will help with swing dancing.
