ancestry.com are very good. To actually get useful responses though,
you have to write proper queries - i.e., "what do you know about the
smith family" isn't going to get any responses, but "I'm looking for
the parentage of Joe Smith, lived in the 5th ward of Chicago in 1920,
supposedly born 1900 in Indiana, with parents born in New York" might.
