answers1: Asian American style is...AMERICAN. You might be referring
to the Hong Kong style or Harojuko style. Sometimes Asian-Americans
blend American fashion with modern Asian styles.

Why do people hate beauty pageants? ?

answers1: People abuse the word "hatin" all the time. Here is another
example of over abuse of the word. How can a person hate you if you
are winning contracts, adds, commercials and contest? Are you talking
about the people who wish they were them? Well, thats really easy to
explain. And way too obvious.
answers2: Personally, I see nothing wrong with beauty pageants with
older girls in them. I don't like one's with little kids, though.
It's like teaching them that the only thing that matters is winning
and looking good.
answers3: The ones with little girls are disgusting. <br>
<br>
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgI1X2o0bBc
answers4
: I agree. I am a frequent watcher of Miss world and Miss
universe. The only people who complain about beauty pageants are ugly
feminists. LOL.
answers5: My mom is a commercial model, but she doesn't support beauty
pageants because of what they stand for. My grandmother also use to do
commerical modeling.
answers6: Different people have different opinions. Some people
believe that beauty pageants are degrading and objectifying for women,
especially those aimed at little girls since it teaches them that your
appearance and ability to be superficially charming are your most
important attributes. It doesn't bother me if grown women want to do
pageants, that's their choice, but I do think they should be aimed
just at teens and adults and not young, impressionable children.

what is more important our inner beauty or outer beauty?

answers1: Inner inhances the outter greatly. Some of the most
beautiful women in th world have a ugliness inside and that affects
the outside so inner is definately more important.

outer beauty just glows

one that attracts ppl so they can discover your inner. I would say

Inner 60% <br>
Outer 40% <br>
<br>
<br>
and those who say inner is the important one....well they are just plain ugly
answers9: inner brings out the outer
answers10: i know that most people say its on the inside that counts

What do you think of natural beauty?

answers1: well if it exists. like it very much!

cosmetics industry, the entertainment industry, the "romance"
industry, and a whole list of other people who need to amake a buck by
distracting us from what really matters? <br>
<br>
Now the down side: Female fruit flies, in a variety where part of the
courtship ritual where males bring them gifts, will select their mates
not on the desirability of the gift, but rather on the physical
symmetry of her suitor. Now if the choice for "beauty" is that
genetic, and on that level, what chance does an asymmetrical person
have?
answers3: well having like a 5 cm layer of makeup is bad thats for sure
answers4: best type of beauty there is, make up is useful but can be overused

tons of make-up

Does our body control us?

answers1: We are the body. Your mind, ability to think, things you
think... That's all your body. Not two things, is all one.
answers2: i'm able to work out the two aspects of this. all and sundry
can talk themselves into throwing up or having a panic attack, the
recommendations is the main significant issues, yet area of the
physique nonetheless.... our bodies can shrink us. in the event that
they'd't combat off an infection, we are those caught in mattress with
little say in the problem.
answers3: Our brain controls us and our body. It tells the body what
to do and when to do it.
answers4: Yes. The brain is part of the body, but the body is not
part of the brain. Therefore, the winner is the body.
answers5: the brain is a body part. you don't *have* a body, but you are one.

CSS help needed for body?

answers1: Background Image Code: <br>
<br>
For the body tag example: <br>
<br>
body { <br>
width: XXpx; <br>
height: YYpx; <br>
margin: 0 auto; <br>
background: #fff url(image_name.jpg) no-repeat center scroll; <br>
} <br>
<br>
That is the proper CSS code for a non-tiled image where the contents
scroll with the background image. Change "#fff" to preferred bg color.
Change "scroll" to "fixed" if you want page contents to scroll over bg
image. Be sure to set proper width/height to provide minimum page size
to display bg image. Put the CSS as is on an external CSS file. If
using embedded CSS, then place CSS between the style tags and place
those style tags between the head tags of the page. <br>
<br>
For a tiled image, change to: <br>
<br>
body { <br>
width: XXpx; <br>
height: YYpx; <br>
margin: 0 auto; <br>
background: #fff url(image_name.jpg) repeat top left scroll; <br>
} <br>
<br>
Put that CSS on an external CSS file if you have more than one page.
Put the CSS between the style tags and place them between the head
tags if using it on one page. Style another tag other than the body
tag if you are using a div wrap container. Should you want the
contents of page to scroll over the background image, change "scroll"
to "fixed". <br>
<br>
Inline CSS example: <body style="background: url(homesky.gif)
no-repeat center fixed;"> <br>
<br>
Ron
answers2: body {background-image:url('yourimage.gif');}

answers7: Try Fat Loss Factor Program - <a
href="http://LoseFat.HealthandLivings.com"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://LoseFat.HealthandLivings.com</a>
answers8: lol there is a reason why water is impotant to us. And no it
does not help reduce fat. Put it transport waste or other htings in
our body systems that we don't need. However, there are other ways to
reduce fats. You ask how to reduce fat, but have you ask yourself,
first, how to at least"prevent" excessive body fat? Both are different
questions. Anyways, after eating, make sure to walk...instead of
sitting on the couch. Sleeping earlt is essential. If you sleep late,
esp eatin gat the same time, you can get fat that easily. And make
sure you can tell the difference between saturated and unsatuared fat
foods
answers9: lol no it does not. exercise is the best way. theres no
facts behind water being good for you. and dont stop eating cause that
just slows your metabolism and causes you to gain weight once you eat.
your body isnt stupid if you start to starve it, it will slow its
waste management down to conserve energy. just eat right, exercise
daily and youll be fine... oh and diets dont work as good as
exercise... most diets will get the weight off for a little while and
bring it right back... dispite what weight lose comercials say, they
always have the words "along with excerise" somewhere on the screen.
so skip all the b.s. and just exercise.

What's the difference between bronze skin and olive skin?

answers1: Olive Skin is common in the Mediterranean, Southern Europe,
Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, Central Asia and parts of the
Horn of Africa and can also be seen in North and South American
Indians. <br>
<br>
Named for its green and gold undertones (the color of an olive), it
refers to an earthy skin tone which can be warm, neutral, cool, or
anything in between. Typically olive skin is a darker complexion that
is naturally tanned, however can be lighter in color as well. Fair
olive-skinned people have light skin that in cold weather may seem
"fair" or "pale", but a slight but usually noticeable olive hue
remains. This distinguishing aspect of the skin type is what
contributes to its name and differentiates it from other skin types.
<br>
<br>
I would assume that when you say "bronze skin" you mean a more tan
skin with pink undertones, which is very common in South America and
parts of Africa and India. <br>
<br>
I would say bronze is more rare sinceI haven't found much when
googling it but perhaps you meant that "tan skin with pink undertone,"
which is more common than olive skin.

Why is makeup, called makeup?

answers1: i think its because you can make up what ever look you want
and bring character into your face
answers2: Because your making up your face
answers3: I would say stop with the foundation. If your skin is great
flaunt it, all those people will be jealous, I know I would be! Also,
most people are much younger than you when they start wearing makeup.
Being 17 and wearing a bit of makeup is perfectly fine, normal, and
reasonable. Also, since your a beginner, the stares might be because:
your foundation is cakey, your eyeshadow isn't blended, your mascara
is too clumpy, or you have too much lipstick on. I'm not saying all of
these things are true but just giving you a couple things to make sure
aren't happening. Hope I helped! :)
answers4: Because you MAKE it UP. <br>
<br>
Hope that helped. <br>
<br>
Good Luck. <br>
<br>
Good Bye.
answers5: I thought it was because it makes up for the ugly.
answers6: because its making what u want ur face to look like.
answers7: Terms like getting "all made up" or "done up" should help
you understand. <br>
<br>
"to make" generally means to bring together several components into a
final product. So a "make over" is replacing existing "parts" for a
new look, make up is called such because it's the parts that make up
the appearance you're aiming for.
answers8: because when you wear it... you make yourself up....hence
the makeup haha
answers9: You should've asked this is in the Polls & Surveys Category,
which has recently changed to the Random Question Category! Anyway,
makeup is called makeup because it really started on biological terms
such as someones D.N.A. makeup. So when you put on cosmetics its term
is basically defined as make-up or an "alter"to your face which is the
biolgical connection. In other words you're making your face up.
(You're making up your face)

Best makeup tip?

answers1: 1. Clean your brushes after every use, so you don't get
bacteria in your brush or your eyes. <br>
<br>
2. always brush the top off of a eyeshadow with a tissue, so it stays
cleaner. <br>
<br>
3. Wiggle your mascara brush when applying, its makes the mascara have
more volume.
answers2: less is always better...
answers3: moisturize before applying anything, and always! always!
wash it off at night. Oh and get a consultation from a makeup counter
and tell them what you want to wear or look like, your concealer and
foundation are the most important, if they are off, then you might as
well draw red circles on your cheeks and put a big red nose on.
answers4: dont go over board stay cool (unless you are lying about
your age) lol
answers5: Here are three: <br>
<br>
<br>
1. Use good makeup from an upscale makeup counter, not the discount
store stuff. <br>
<br>
2. Remove completely every night. <br>
<br>
3. Moisturize.

HELP! with makeup?

answers1: tweens are a little young to be wearing eyeliner
answers2: Put the eyeliner on the bottom part of ur eye its not hard to do
answers3: #1 makeup rule: You should choose either eyes OR lips. <br>
If you use eyeliner or makeup that stands out on your eyes you should
use subtle lipstick or gloss. If you want to use a lipstick that
stands out, use subtle eye makeup. <br>
<br>
At your age you are probably gorgeous and don't need much makeup, if I
were you, I would just use mascara and a subtle lip stick or gloss.
Many women want to look the way someone your age naturally does - so
at your age, less is more - seriously - and I'm not someone's mom or
anything, I'm in my 20's. <br>
<br>
But, if you want tips on eyeliner: <br>
If applying eyeliner to the top lid, place your index finger on the
outside corner and gently pull it (while it's closed) to the side.
Apply the eyeliner in one smooth stroke from the inside edge outwards.
If you gently hold the lid while applying the eyeliner the lid will
lay flat and you will get a smooth line. Also, apply the eyeliner as
close to the lashes as possible. If you are using an eye liner
pencil, make sure it is sharpened using a sharpener for eye makeup
only- do not use a sharpener that's been used on pencils. When
applying eyeliner to the bottom lid, you will not need to hold the
lid. Draw a line on the inside edge of the eyelid as close to the
eyelashes as possible- almost on top of the lashes- be very careful
not to get it in your eye. You can use eyeliner on the bottom, top or
both lids of your eyes. You should use a shade that flatters your
coloring (probably dark grey or dark brown).
answers4: Apply to eyelash line... and its easier if you use a wooded
pencil.... get it nice and sharp.. then run a lighter across the tip
really fast.. it will soften it! This makes it easier to apply and if
goes on soo much smoother
answers5: Kevyn Aucoin (an excellent, now-deceased) make-up artist
wrote several wonderful books on cosmetics application. I have one,
("Making Faces" <a href="http://www.kevynaucoin.com/books/?books"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://www.kevynaucoin.com/books/?books</a>
)and I've used it from the time I was 13. <br>
<br>
It gives excellent tips on how to achieve multiple styles of make-up
and the different applications of eyeliner and mascara. It also goes
into the various types and color palettes of make-up he uses. It was
incredibly informative and it will always be in my book collection.
answers6: dear tween,I have done countless makeovers on eyeliner
addicted folks, the best advice is to line with pencil only from

answers8: Just use short strokes to apply the eyeliner just under your
lower lashes, you can also apply eyeliner just above your upper lash
line. I wasn't allowed to wear makeup until I was 16! Just don't go
overboard with makeup.
answers9: Hey <br>
I think the most important thing to remember is to focus on one part
of your face, whichever is best (eyes or whatever). <br>
I find that using a foundation that matches your face, followed with a
bronzer helps to make your eyes look nicer, and your teeth look
whiter. I use cheaper eyeliner, and I stick with the brown pencil
type, then you don't look too harsh. <br>
You should try going to a store like MAC, they have the best stuff.
answers10: why are you wearing makeup anyway your too young your gonna

Hair problems? Fine Hair?

answers1: Whatever you do, DO NOT use extensions. Your hair is already
thin enough and the extensions, whether glued or sewed in, will rip
out the hair that you do have. Try using Nioxin shampoo and
conditioner. You would have to find a stylist who sells it. It helps
make your hair thicker. Then use a thickening gel, a mousse, and a
root pump. Always use hairspray to hold it into place and push up on
the roots as you spray.
answers2: My wife has fine hair and says the last thing you should do
is blow dry.
answers3: instead of straightening and blow-drying your hair use a wet
to straight straightener
answers4: I agree with the first person. Don't straighten your hair too much
answers5: Is your hair naturally dry? Wash your hair atleast every
other day...If it's Naturally oily, Wash it everyday.
answers6: difficult issue. seek over google and yahoo. this can assist!
answers7: Hmm wash your hair every 2 days or so, but don't straighten it. <br>
If it's curly love it, if it's got a few kinks, love them. <br>
Because straight hair is boring and it's common. <br>
Don't use the straighteners it's those that makes your hair finer. <br>
Blowdry and comb, it'll be straight but fuller. <br>
<br>
<3
answers8: when you have fine hair your hair tends to get oily and
greasy quicker, try some voloum shampoos and conditioners and when you
blowdry, tilt your head upside down then blowdry from the roots to the
end that will creat some great voloum and give you heathy hair <br>

Hair extensions (clip-ins) thin hair?

answers1: I love the clip in ones. I have tried the track ones where
they sew them in and they hurt and are very expensive. I got mine from
E bay( they are new) and they were they same kind just 20 dollards
insted of eighty and they work amazing
answers2: The real hair extensions do look better..but those that clip
on can cause hair loss and wear only for occasions (not everyday), I
would recommend proper salon advice, then make a choice - may be more
expensive but not as damaging to hair.
answers3: problematic situation. research with google or bing. that
will will help!
answers4: The clip in, human hair extensions are the best you can buy. <br>
There's no glue involved, so they won't damage your hair. <br>
And as long as the extensions are real human hair, you can curl,
straighten, and wash them as though they were your real hair. <br>

in place. 3) hair gel is probably better but if you want straight hair
straightening won't totally kill your hair. 4) Aussie products work

Where can i find teen bedroom accessories?

answers1: go check out a crazy clarks store youd be surprised what they have
answers2: I'm assuming you've already bought bedding, if not, maybe
something like this: <br>
<br>
<a href="http://www.beyond-bedding.com/hot-pink-zebra-print-full-queen-teens-kids-bedding-set.html"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://www.beyond-bedding.com/hot-pink-z...</a>
<br>
<br>
For furniture, try ikea.com - it will be inexpensive and you'll be
able to get the night stands, dressers, and desks there. I'd go with
either white or black furniture to complement the bedding. <br>
You can also try walmart and target if you are concerned with price. <br>
<br>
Wall decorations- The bedding set shows wall hangings which can be
purchased at the same site as the bedding (beyond-bedding). In
addition, you can buy decorative throw pillows, windows treatments,
Funky Zebra Fabric Memory/Memo Photo Bulletin Board, and even lamp
shades <br>
<br>
Frames - Buy these anywhere. You can get these very cheaply. I'd
suggest a $1 can of spray paint so you can change the color of the
frames for a customized look (I'd spray a few black, a few white and
perhaps a few hot pink - though you could easily paint a zebra design
- cheap and easy) <br>
<br>
Mirrors - Again, buy the cheapest mirror you can find and custom paint
it (Walmart or other discount store). If you must have a zebra print
mirror, check this one out: <br>
<br>
<a href="http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=zebra+mirror&rls=com.microsoft:en-us&oe=UTF-8&startIndex=&startPage=1&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=8249285435254738615&ei=pIckTc7QL8T48Aayo8CGAg&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=4&ved=0CDgQ8wIwAw#"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q...</a>
<br>
<br>
<br>
Rug - Walmart has several different style choices. Like this one: <br>
<a href="http://www.walmart.com/ip/Home-Dynamix-Zone-7160-Zebra-Print-Rug/12087183?findingMethod=rr"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://www.walmart.com/ip/Home-Dynamix-Z...</a>
<br>
<br>
Blanket/Throw: Again, walmart has a cheap solution that comes in
several colors <br>
<br>
http://www.walmart.com/search/search-ng.do?search_query=zebra+throw&ic=48_0&Find=Find&search_constraint=4044
<br>
<br>
As far as accessorizing goes, keep in mind that a little zebra goes a
long way. If you have zebra print bedding, you may want to consider
solids for the lounge chair and/or throw and accent pillows. I'd pick
up a lot of solids for accessories (black or white vase maybe with hot
pink flowers) again, solid colored picture frames. Walmart also sells
cork boards. You can paint these or cover them in a zebra fabric (or
complementary fabric) and embellish it with grosgrain hot pink ribbon.
<br>
<br>
Please remember that a cheap can of spray paint can help you achieve
the look you are after. Best of Luck.
answers3: Wall decorations- The bedding set shows wall hangings which

Nintendo Wii accessories wont work without motionplus?

answers1: The accessory pack was, unfortunately, not built to work
with the Wii MotionPlus. The actual plastic tennis racket accessory
doesn't affect gameplay at all, except for the fact that it will get
inaccurate faster because of the inability to point at the screen. The
best solution would be to take off the racket and insert the Wii
MotionPlus because there is no other known alternative.
answers2: Sorry, It won't fit. You can only use them on games that
don't use the Wii Motion Plus. <br>
Unless, you were to buy another Wii Remote called the Wii Remote Plus.
answers3: :( unfortunatly you cannot place the motion+ onto a remote
and the tennis racket <br>
...no space... <br>
<br>
the only way is by getting a remote with motion+ built into each remote
answers4: yea its a great deal think about a wii plus tax is about
$270 plus and extra wii-mote and nunchuks is about $65 $335 is about
what he wants for the wii plus its hard to find a wii so i will do it
answers5: Well, honestly all those plastic add-ons really don't do
anything for actual game play. So, you can either just play with out
the racket attachment, or purchase a newer model Wii-mote that has
motion plus built in to a standard sized controller rather than the
one you have to plug in to the bottom of it.

Famous fashion brand in Korea & Japan?

answers1: The strange thing is a lot of people don't buy fashion
brands in Korea. There are stalls, but mainly fashion centres tend to
be somewhere like South Gate of Seoul, East Gate of Seoul (Namdaemun,
Dongdaemun respectively) where there's MASSIVE malls and markets all
over the place selling clothes, which are really good but they aren't
exactly branded like Superdry, Hollister, Abercrombie, etc. They do
exist in Korea though.

Universities with Fashion Clubs?

answers1: I would recommend looking up the Student Activities Office
at the college or university you would like to attend. Typically all
student organizations are listed. <br>
<br>
Any college or university that has major in fashion will more than
likely have a club for students to belong to. If you want to study
fashion then you should look for schools that specialize in it. For
example, Fashion Institute of Technology or Parsons New School for
Design in New York City.
answers2: I heard USC has a fashion club. doesn't have to do anything
with a fashion major, but I think it's for social purposes. USC
doesn't offer fashion as a major, just so you know.

What is the difference between Renaissance art and Medieval art?

answers1: This Site Might Help You. <br>
<br>
RE: <br>
What is the difference between Renaissance art and Medieval art? <br>
Main differences between Renaissance art and Medieval art
answers2: Renaissance art tends to be more humanistic, less emphasis
on religious themes and more on everyday life. Renaissance art is
distinctive in that it incorporates perspective. Therefore it is much
more realistic.
answers3: Medieval art was more around the time of feudalism and more
based on comedy and music for kings and nobles. Renaissance art has
dramatic plays and actors/actresses were more popular in this time
period.
answers4: Medieval Art Vs Renaissance Art
answers5: Medieval art: Mostly religious; very focused on creating
symbols of Christian concepts/values; not concerned with realism.
Served a purpose: "Before a worshipper has even entered the church, he
would find images of saints and sinners, of angelic beings and the
punishment of the damned. All stood as a reminder of the importance of
holding one's thoughts to God." Statues were shallow and flat. Bodies
might be out of proportion. <br>
Renaissance art: Very focused on realism--on portraying things as they
look. Used linear perspective in painting. Not as focused on religion.
Often used to show the beauty in nature (including human beings).
Often depicted everyday life. Used light and shadow.
answers6: For the best answers, search on this site <a
href="https://shorturl.im/awUz1"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>https://shorturl.im/awUz1</a> <br>
<br>
Medieval art was mainly religious art for the church. The art in the
medieval times was also for the most part 2D looking. In renaissance
people started to paint aspects of everyday life. People experimented
with shading and perspective so art became more 3 dimensional in
apearance.
answers7: Yaaah, they added some paint by the later period and changed
or learnt a bit about perspectives. Made it blossom.
answers8: The idea that Renaissance are was more humanistic and less
religious is true, though not to the extreme that some would imply.
Look at the most famous works by Michelangelo, da Vinci, et al. The
Pieta, the Sistine Chapel Ceiling, the Last Judgement, The Last
Supper, all of the various Madonna's and Child, The Moses, the various
David's, even the mythologically themed paintings by Boccaccio and
others...there was a LOT of religious painting and sculpting going on.
There was, however much that was not, for example, the Mona Lisa and
various other portraitures, Holbein's The Ambassadors, and Eyck's
Arnolfini Marriage. Still, the Renaissance was not overwhelmingly
humanistic, at least not in the more modern sense of the term. And
there was certainly some medieval art that was 'humanistic,' from the
Bayeax Tapestry to various works depicting the daily life in towns and
life of the serfs working the land.
answers9: Pre Renaissance Art

other kinds of arts on your app or in your resume and note that
samples are available if they'd like to see them.

What is the difference between Commercial/Advertising Art Major and Design&Visual Communication Major?

answers1: These are the biggest differences between Judaism and
Xianity: Jews believe that one person cannot die for the sins of
another person. Jews believe that we do not need a blood sacrifice for
the forgiveness of sins. Jews believe that Jesus was not the messiah.
Jews believe that God hates human sacrifices. Who died on the cross?
Was it Jesus-the-god, or was it Jesus-the-human? If it was
Jesus-the-god, Jews don't believe that God can die. If it was
Jesus-the-human, then all Christians have in the death of Jesus was a
human death, a human sacrifice. Jews believe that God hates the very
idea of human sacrifice. Jews believe that one is born into the world
with original purity, and not with original sin. Jews do not believe
in original sin. Jews believe that God is one and indivisible. Jews do
not believe in a trinity. Jews believe in The Satan, but not in a
devil. There is a difference between The Satan and the devil. Jews
believe that God is God, and humans are humans. God does not become
human nor do humans become God.
answers2: Well, the majors aren't called that at colleges. that's just
collegeboard. the degrees are BA fine art, BFA fine art, art history,
graphic design, interior design, illustration design, museum studies,
art director, and art managment. those are in the art department.
<br>
<br>
In the business department, there's visual communications. it usually
breaks down into design based marketing, web design, etc. You take a
couple arts courses, but the majority is business and computer science

if you want to be and art director, you need to to art history with a
minor in business or art criticism or some colleges have arts
management majors which teach you specifically about art and how to
market it/represent an artist. it merges art/art history/marketing/and
business. <br>
<br>
If you are more interested in web design, journalism, marketing, or
just the business/tech side of the job then you can do visual
communications. BUT it has LITTLE to do with art

I'm a 15 year-old who's interested in visual art. I'm looking for places to show my art + enter it in contests?

answers1: I use this website for art contests <a
href="http://www.art-made-easy.com/art-contests-for-kids.html"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://www.art-made-easy.com/art-contest...</a>
<br>
<br>
It has really easy art contests and a couple of more prestigious
difficult ones. Art never needs to be delivered in person or at least
I've never had to do it for an art contest I've entered. My city and
the cities near me all have open galleries that artists are able to
enter for. I'm sure there's one in your city. <br>
<br>
Good luck and have fun :D
answers2: properly all of those coach u self defence different than
mma and kickboxing that are activities. So it relies upon what ur
searching for. The self defence martial arts concentration on greater
table sure tecniques while in mma and kickboxing, it demands
particularly some stream as that's a interest. yet a number of the
martial arts i do no longer think of u ought to take are brazilian
jujistu (u could besides do mma if ur gona do bjj), judo (greater of
wrestling which demands potential), kung fu (properly it relies upon
which form of kung fu, and its way too complicated, and bear in mind,
all martial arts u listed above and each and each of those u see right
this moment, got here from considered one of those kung fu), taekwondo
(especially using ur legs, so u could besides take kickboxing or mma),
and real looking highway defence (i'm uncertain what this could coach
u yet for advantageous wen u do easily run right into a concern of
conserving urself on the line, the two you will forget approximately
to apply the tecniques cuz ur hesitating or u does no longer kno which
one to apply or are sluggish to react). So if ur looking into mma or
kickboxing, evaluate this; mma is greater durable to benefit yet much
less complicated to do; its incredibly plenty rock paper scissor as an
occasion ur oppenent makes use of a muay thai pass on u.s. u could use
a tae kwon do pass to overcome him. And u do no longer save attempting
to strike him/her, so u get some relax inbetween. And triumphing could
properly be from submission, so u does no longer hav to attend until u
knock out ur oppenent. Kickboxing on the different hand is plenty
greater violent while in comparison with mma. you could benefit yet
particularly no longer undemanding to do, as there is no longer as
plenty type as in mma so u and ur opponent are doing the best same
ingredient the entire time to a minimum of one yet another, so there
is not any undemanding way like in mma, and u can basically win by
utilising knockout of technical knockout. It demands incredibly
extreme cardio as u hav to maintain tryna strike ur opponent down at
the same time as ur opponent is fabulous u until now the time runs
out. that's somewhat speedy paced, so watch an mma combat then watch a
kickboxing combat, and you will see the version. I hav laid down the
enjoying cards and now u can choose for what suits u and ur life-type.
wish this permits

Can you 'teach' visual art?

answers1: I believe it is possible to teach humans to develop an eye
for correct principles of design and composition, as well as the
technical aspects you mentioned such as color blending and use of
tools. And most art teachers (good ones, anyway) teaching drawing will
train students to draw what they see and maximize their facility
within the limits of the students' unique physical constraints. So to
put it another way, no I do not believe teachers really can teach
others to "draw in the teacher's style" unless the students are so
empty that all they can do is mimic anyway. Which means they're not
meant to be artists anyway.
answers2: As an art instructor for almost 30 yrs., I have to say YES,
a "good" instructor can teach Visual Art...but not to teach in their
personal style. From past history, the Masters did teach art by
having their students "copy" their art, only to show them how to do
techniques. It is so important to look at Art History to see from
where we've come from ages ago & learn about so many techniques of the
past Masters. You then have a better understanding of the "how to" do
the physical aspects of art. Students should have some talent to begin
their training. One can take the negative, like bad teachers, media
you don't like, techniques that don't help you grow as an artist and
call those things a "learning experience" and keep seeking the
positive for yourself & your art. Instruction in art is good, keep on
with practicing...that is key & your love of art & improvement. I
learned so much from all my former art school professors, even the not
so good ones. 'Hope that gives you some positive input.

Why do college graduates act so arrogant ?

answers1: Same reason everyone else acts in an arrogant way.
answers2: Maybe because the fact that they have a degree from Harvard
or Yale makes them smarter and better than everyone else because it
has been put into their head that they're one of the best schools in
the united states.
answers3: Not me. I have a bachelors degree and I earned that way back
in 2001. I have yet to put it to use in a profession where I'm able
to make any money. Currently, I work in a hospital in a completely
unrelated profession making a mere 30k a year at 40 years old. <br>
<br>
Those guys who act like they are all badasses because they've
graduated? They can smack talk all they want. But many of them will
wind up in my boat with a wasted degree and not able to utilize it for
any good money.
answers4: Even if someone does have a doctorate from Harvard, humility
is way preferable to arrogance.
answers5: LMAOOOO because they have been brainwashed by the school
they went to to believe they are sooooooo exceptional and scholarly
and that they are above the rest of the population and the schools do
this in order to sell their snake oil hundred thousand dollar degrees
answers6: Not arrogant, clueless, there is little difference. They
are qualified to live at home and flip burgers so you must respect
them.
answers7: People with an education, no matter what level, have at
least some arrogance to them. <br>
It's annoying though, because they think they're way of thinking is
completely right.

Good question.

what was the Causes and effects What was each act?

answers1: Sugar Act (1764)- First Revenue raising act for Britain. It
was supposed to place a high tax on sugar from the West Indies;
however, the colonies rebelled forcing the crown to back down. <br>
<br>
Stamp Act (1765)- A way of raising revenue for the military
expenditure after the French and Indian War. It required a stamp on
about 50 items. Britain believed it was a perfectly reasonable act.
The colonists saw no need for it, and they felt it jeopardized their
rights as Englishmen. It sparked the ideology of "No taxation without
representation". <br>
<br>
Townshend Acts (1767)- It required the suspension of New York until
they accepted the Quartering Act. They also created duties on colonial
imports, which lead to colonial resistance. <br>
<br>
Tea Act (1773)- It is a tax break on tea. Colonists were not buying
tea due to the Revenue Act, and the East India Company needed money.
The colonists did not see it as a tax break, and it did not go over
well, led to Boston Tea Party. <br>
<br>
Intolerable/Coercive Acts (April 1774) Britain's response to the
Boston Tea Party. The acts closed the Boston port, until the tea was
paid for from the Tea Party. New Quartering Act issued, and forbid
town meetings without governmental consent. <br>
<br>
<br>
I hope this helps.
answers2: OMG this is so familiar from Grade 7 last year!! Pretty much
the cause of each act was to gain more taxes. Sugar act placed taxes
on stuff like sugar and molasses. Stamp act raised taxes on stamps,
which made it more costly to get a newpaper or send a letter.
Townshend act I cannot remember. Tea act put taxes on...what else but
tea! and Intolerable Acts, I kind of forget what that was for. Pretty
much ti was all taxation without representation. I guess you could say
the cause of these Acts being created was to gain more taxes, and the
effect was that the colonists became rebellious, and that's where The
American Revolution came into play, and the Boston Tea Party incident.
Hope this helps!

answers1: poetry is love its the blood of joy it takes its pleasure
all the way to the heart of the world.it has a bitter sweet
taste,sorrow hiddin behind him happiness smiling to its interest
answers2: "We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read
and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the
human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business,
engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life.
But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for.
To quote from Whitman, "O me! O life!... of the questions of these
recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless... of cities filled
with the foolish; what good amid these, O me, O life?" Answer: that
you are here; that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play
goes on and you may contribute a verse; that the powerful play goes on

have these experiences that we can't express to others. Anyone can
describe the event in detail. Tell you what it feels like, what they
saw. A poet, though, Can put you there. A poet can make you feel what
he felt. A poet not only gives meaning to these events but makes you
experience them and therefore give you a chance to gain meaning from
it. Poetry is love, life, anger, strife and everything through and
through.

what the hell is poetry?

answers1: It angry me. Im white and I have tons of black peers and I
see them the identical means I see white persons, that poem used to be
a discrase to every person, black persons too, I wish they trap a few
**** for that too, I cant suppose what I simply noticed, to whoever
you're who mentioned that, **** you you racist ****.
answers2: hey, poetry is usually the poets feeling put into words in a
creative way,im 15 and i write poetry and i started about a year
because i really liked a girl (i'd liked girls before but it felt
different with her) and i started writing them when she rejected me to
get my feelings out for example instead of saying <br>
'your beautiful, i'll love you forever' you could say in a poem <br>
'your beauty stopped time for me <br>
and in my heart you will forever be' <br>
hope this is what you wanted :)
answers3: Well there isn't a certain book out there that marks the
edge of a scale of what is and what isn't poetry. There is a lot of
shades of gray. On a scale, I would say that on one end you have the
written word purely for communication sake. Far from poetry, the only
purpose is to convey information to someone else. As you go towards
the other side of the scale (more towards poetry), you my come across
fiction and essays written with poetic flair. Although not poetry,
they have poetic elements. Namely that the words chosen are selected
not just to convey information, but to elicit specific intended
emotions from the reader. Go further towards more pure poetry and it
becomes less and less about the information of what is being
communicated, and the emotional content delivered by how the words and
sentence form is crafted (what is in-between the words on the page).
The reason there are so many forms of poetry is because there are so
many different ways to elicit emotion through word craft. Sometimes
the structure you are talking about exists because poetry was often in
song form originally (because it predated written word/literacy). It
gained the form from musical stanzas. People continued to use a form
similar so that people would understand that it is poetry, and because
they appreciated tradition. More recently, some people have used no
standard structure to help create the emotional affect they want. It
is a way to ensure that the reader reads it in a certain way to
control the emotional message.
answers4: i'm trying to figure that out to. i hate how teachers give
us these random poems and make us find the meaning behind every line
and sometimes i wonder if there's even a meaning behind any of this
answers5: you shouldn't really look too deep into it. its all about
you feelings or observation on something. you write about anything
that you need to let out about either love or fighting, or the grass
to the clouds, its could be about anything you want! <br>
<br>
- poetry <br>
1.the art of rhythmical composition, written or spoken, for exciting
pleasure by beautiful, <br>
imaginative, or elevated thoughts. <br>
<br>
2.literary work in metrical form; verse. <br>
<br>
3.prose with poetic qualities.

Help w/ Philosophy, PreSocratic philosophy?

answers1: The main problem that preoccupied Pre-Socratic philosophy
was to create Foundational Truth -- a state in which all questions
were valid and a person only had to find the right answer. Socratic
philosophy showed that one must not only question the answer but
question the question itself because, by implication, Socrates denied
the existence (and even the possibility of existence) of Foundational
Truth. Plato responded by positing the World of Ideas and by
presenting the Simile of the Cave,

What are the best philosophy books ?

answers1: Look for the history of Philosophy because it touches on
major philosophers such as Augustine and kant as well and theory. I
cant dig my copy out now because it would take all night but being a
novice you would learn a lot from a book that touches on those aspects
than you can focus on specific theory. Also if you take a course such
as intro to philosophy you can learn how to prove or disprove
arguments. There is a language to it based on abbreviations and
symbols but it is very interesting how you can prove something
tautological or not.
answers2: There are thousands of philisophy books. All are novice and
provide theories etc. Read them all studied them all. Only one book
answered everything for me. Sadly its not novice and can only be
grasped by someone with a little understanding of life generally. Read
this however with that in mind and it will answer all your questions
totally if you have an open mind. Its called SATI. It is life
changing.

What are some great books on Philosophy?

answers1: I consider Etienne Gilson essential reading for anyone
interested in philosophy. In fact, I consider him one of the best
philosophers of the 20th century (at least that I have read) in the
sense of his clear understanding of the issues surrounding philosphy.
<br>
<br>
And 2 of his essentials … <br>
<br>
Etienne Gilson ... Unity of Philosophical Experience <br>
Etienne Gilson ... God and Philosophy <br>
<br>
http://www.amazon.com/Unity-Philosophical-Experience-Etienne-Gilson/dp/089870748X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1235881989&sr=1-1
<br>
<br>
The " Unity of Philosophical Experience" is particularly interesting
because Gilson gives one an overview of where philosophy went in the
last 1000 years. The great ideas that formed philosophy over this
period. The book is divided into 4 sections … <br>
<br>
1) The Medieval Experiment <br>
2) The Cartesian Experiment <br>
3) The Modern Experiment <br>
4) The Nature and Unity of Philosophical Experience <br>
<br>
Check the reviews of these books on Amazon.com for write-ups on them. <br>
<br>
Also, Frederick Copleston's series, A History of Philosophy is also
excellent. One can buy any one of the 9 volumes, depending on what
period one is interested in. <br>
<br>
http://www.amazon.com/History-Philosophy-1-Frederick-Copleston/dp/0385468431/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1235881733&sr=1-1
<br>
<br>
" …. ….. Conceived originally as a serious presentation of the
development of philosophy for Catholic seminary students, Frederick
Copleston's nine-volume A History Of Philosophy has journeyed far
beyond the modest purpose of its author to universal acclaim as the
best history of philosophy in English. <br>
<br>
Copleston, an Oxford Jesuit of immense erudition who once tangled with
A. J. Ayer in a fabled debate about the existence of God and the
possibility of metaphysics, knew that seminary students were fed a
woefully inadequate diet of theses and proofs, and that their
familiarity with most of history's great thinkers was reduced to
simplistic caricatures. Copleston set out to redress the wrong by
writing a complete history of Western philosophy, one crackling with
incident and intellectual excitement -- and one that gives full place
to each thinker, presenting his thought in a beautifully rounded
manner and showing his links to those who went before and to those who
came after him………….."
answers2: Our our wise introspection. With a guileless heart let us
analyze things and try to know one by one. Every thing in the world
teaches us. Universe is an open book. An illiterate can be a
philosopher.
answers3: The Urantia Book offers a clear and concise integration of
science, philosophy, and religion. Those who read and study it believe
that The Urantia Book has the capacity to make a significant
contribution to the religious and philosophical thinking of people
worldwide. <br>
<br>
The Urantia Book is not a "religion" per se. Its builds upon the
religious heritages of the past and present, encouraging a personal,
living religious faith.
answers4: The Bhagavad Gita. It is the most profound book ever. I am
not Indian and not Hindu. I am objective. This is a small marvel, a
pearl in literature, no, not a pearl, a precious gem, the most
precious. It is not religion. It is just philosophy at its best, at
the highest level ever.

answers7: Read a book, period. But start with: "The Story of
Philosophy" by Will Durrant.
answers8: I would start with "History of Philosophy" by Frederick
Copleston, S.J., and "History of Political Philosophy", edited by Leo
Strauss and Joseph Cropsey. They're harder than you most likely want
but they have serious depth to them. Additionally, I would read books
by Ayn Rand -- just remember she's not the end of philosophy as her
tone sometimes manages to suggest. "History of Western Philosophy" by
Bertrand Russell is also a good first read; however, it is dated and
lacks depth at times. Read "Closing of the American Mind" by Allan
Bloom to see a philosophical mind at work examining America in the
1980s. Also try reviewing the MIT free open courses at: <a

The Great Books of the Western World, available only in a library.
<br>
<br>
Read just volumes II and III. <br>
<br>
They cover the 102 topics most covered in philosophy. Doing it by
topic allows the authors to include the basic ideas of each
philosopher side by side. That way you don't have to read each
philosopher one by one. <br>

It makes reading philosophy exciting because when you find something
interesting and want to read more, the books tell you where in the
rest of the series of books to find it.
